Sports field renovation system
Bona has been recognized as a technical partner of FIBA, the global governing body for basketball and the only governing body recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The FIBA Basketball World Cup, held every four years, is one of the most prestigious basketball tournaments. As an official technical partner, Bona plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of flooring for Olympic Games and professional leagues. All professional sports boards must comply with the guidelines of EN 14904:2006, the official European standard for indoor sports flooring.

First layer: Primer
-
The primer provides strong adhesion between the sanded floor and the finish layer.
-
Its durability and flexibility allow it to withstand the movement of the floor.
-
Sports flooring should be able to bend when subjected to vertical impact, which requires the primer to have strong adhesion and toughness to prevent the boards from shifting.
Second layer: Protective Coating
-
Sports floor protective coating can effectively prevent abrasion and impact, and has moisture-proof and waterproof properties.
-
This protective coating is similar to a primer and needs to withstand the effects of intense sports activities while preventing moisture, scratches, and daily wear and tear.
-
The top coat affects the surface sheen and anti-slip properties, and must be applied precisely to the surface to avoid injury.
Layer 3: Line Paint
-
SuperSport Line Paint offers a variety of vibrant and mixable colors, allowing you to create a wide range of visual effects.
-
It is suitable for line markings as well as area and field boundaries.
-
This product offers excellent coverage, ensuring floor flatness and providing good adhesion to prepare for the next layer of treatment.
4th layer: Protective Coating
-
The second coat of sports floor protection provides additional protection, effectively reducing floor wear and tear and withstanding frequent use.
-
Bona sports protective coatings ensure optimal sports performance, avoiding both excessive slipperiness and excessive stiffness, while meeting the main standard for indoor sports surfaces, EN 14904:2006.
Solutions for different situations
Dust-free Sanding
-
Large sports flooring typically requires a time-consuming sanding process, so improving work efficiency is crucial.
-
Bona heavy-duty belt machines, equipped with the 8700 series durable ceramic abrasives, are designed for removing thick paint layers and offer powerful functionality and high efficiency.
-
Bona's innovative sanding system not only speeds up the sanding process but also creates ideal surface adhesion without leaving visible sanding marks.
Dust-free Light Sanding
-
To protect the surface and markings of the floor, regular deep cleaning and maintenance are necessary to reduce the impact of wear and tear.
-
Deep cleaning can effectively remove dirt from floors and restore their slip resistance.
-
When combined with a dust-free light sanding system for maintenance, a sports protective coating can be applied to the surface, enhancing scratch resistance, abrasion resistance, and chemical resistance.
